There are more than 100 suits and 30 vehicles to unlock in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight – here’s everything you’ll need to do if you want a complete collection…
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is available to play right now if you’re splashing out for the Deluxe Edition, ahead of the Standard Edition’s launch tomorrow (May 22). And while most of the content is waiting to be unlocked in the game, there are certain suits and vehicles that can only be acquired by other means: for instance, purchasing extra downloadable content or performing account shenanigans.
If you want to get your hands on every virtual Batsuit, Robin suit, Catwoman suit (and the rest) in the game, along with every unlockable vehicle to drive around the open-world Gotham, here’s what you’ll need to do.
Play the game

Let’s get the obvious one out of the way first: play LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight from beginning to end. You’ll unlock dozens of suits just by playing through the story, while many more can be purchased using the in-game studs currency at Bat-Mite’s shop. Vehicles are similarly acquired as you play the game or by activating the Bat-Garage and buying them.
Some suits and vehicles have specific unlock conditions before being able to purchase them, such as the First Appearance Batmobile – based on Batman’s very first car in 1939 – which requires finding six Lost Zoo Animals. Completing various puzzles or AR trials in Gotham’s open world will also add new suits and vehicles to your collection. In short: play the game, get the stuff. Simple.
Pre-order the game

At the time of writing, the Dark Knight Returns suit is exclusively available with pre-orders of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. While the Deluxe Edition can be played right now, it's still technically up for pre-order, so you've got one day left to acquire this one before the game launches on May 22. Fingers crossed TT Games eventually offers another way to add this suit to your Bat-wardrobe.
Upgrade to the Deluxe Edition

Stumping up for the Deluxe Edition is also the only way to get your hands on the Batmobeast, which is exclusive to that version of the game at the time of writing. If you've already pre-ordered the Standard Edition, let's hope WB Games offers a Deluxe Edition upgrade post-launch.
Purchase DLC packs

The Deluxe Edition of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight includes the first three downloadable content packs available at launch, but if you’re just springing for the Standard Edition (maybe you don’t care about the Batmobeast), you’ll need to grab them separately. Those are the Arkham Trilogy Pack, Party Music Pack and Batman Beyond Pack.
Each of those packs includes one new Batmobile and seven new suits (one per each playable character), along with five Batcave props to kit out the Caped Crusader’s underground lair.
Buy this year’s LEGO Batman sets
So you’ve bought the game and all its DLC, or splashed out on the Deluxe Edition: great, that’ll get you most of the content… except for the shiny gold Batsuit and three gold Batmobiles.
To acquire those in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, you’re going to need to purchase the following four physical LEGO sets, which each include a QR code to unlock their respective digital item in-game.
| LEGO set | Price | In-game item |
|---|---|---|
| 76330 Batman Logo | £69.99 / $79.99 / €79.99 | Gold Batsuit |
| 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile | £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99 | Gold Batman v Superman Batmobile |
| 76332 The Batman Batmobile | £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99 | Gold The Batman Batmobile |
| 76333 Batman & Robin Batmobile | £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99 | Gold Batman & Robin Batmobile |
Link your HBO Max account

Finally, the Black Lantern and Dark Knights of Steel suits can only be unlocked by linking the game with your HBO Max account, so fingers crossed you’ve got one of those.
If you do everything on this list, you should have at least 126 suits (across all seven playable characters – Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Jim Gordon, Catwoman, Nightwing and Talia al Ghul) and 33 vehicles to enjoy.

More will follow in the Mayhem Collection in September, which includes playable Joker and Harley Quinn characters, a new game mode, a new story mission, seven more suits, a new Batmobile and five more Batcave props.
You’ll get that one automatically if you purchase the Deluxe Edition, but you’ll need to buy it separately if you’re going for the Standard Edition.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight launches May 22, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X and PC, while the Deluxe Edition is available to play now. A Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game is planned to arrive at a later, as yet unconfirmed, date.
