LEGO Technic's next set will be another large-scale licensed Formula 1 model, bringing us halfway to completing the current array of teams in the motorsport.
42240 Aston Martin Aramco AMR25 F1 Car has been revealed as the sixth licensed LEGO Technic Formula 1 car model at this scale, joining a packed grid of vehicles, most of which are still available.
The new release will race to shelves on July 1, 2026, but in the meantime, here's the rest of the large-scale LEGO Technic Formula 1 car collection. This will only cover vehicles that are licensed and based on a specific team.
McLaren
McLaren starts off the list with two cars instead of just one. The team has been represented in both 2022's 42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car, as well as the updated 42228 McLaren F1 Team MCL39 from earlier this year. The MCL39 model is still available for £199.99 / $229.99 / €229.99
Despite the time between their releases, the cars both feature the team's distinct black and orange colour scheme and have only around 200 pieces difference. McLaren is the only team on this list to be represented with more than one car.
Mercedes
Mercedes is the second-earliest adopter of this range, featured in 42171 Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance from 2024. The Technic car stands out thanks to its black and teal colour scheme, making it the least colourful of the range. Its shape is drastically different to other cars, as well, including an unusual bump at the front.
Red Bull
Red Bull joined the LEGO Technic range in 2025 with 42206 Oracle Red Bull Racing RB20 F1 Car for £199.99 / $229.99 / €229.99. Red Bull has relatively fewer LEGO Formula 1 models than most other teams, but the 1,639-piece set makes up a significant portion of the overall portfolio.
Ferrari
Ferrari seems to be just about everywhere in the LEGO Formula 1 range, including in Technic's large-scale car collection. 42207 Ferrari SF-24 F1 Car was released last March with 1,361 pieces. The team's iconic red colour scheme is present across the massive car's livery.
Aston Martin
42240 Aston Martin Aramco AMR25 F1 Car is the newest addition to the range, bringing Aston Martin into the collection as the fifth team. The team isn't represented often in the LEGO Formula 1 waves, and this new car features 1,547 pieces to be launched on July 1, 2026.
