The LEGO designers behind 10326 Natural History Museum have explained exactly what every exhibit build is and the story behind them.
The LEGO designer video for 10326 Natural History Museum is now available and offers a guide to every exhibit in the latest LEGO modular building. While we wait for the new set to release on December 1 for £259.99 / $299.99 / €299.99, take a virtual trip through the museum with context provided by designer Chris McVeigh.
Palaeontology
In the Palaeontology section, you'll find a fossil made out of a LEGO whip, a sabre-toothed predator skull, the giant dinosaur skeleton, a pair of fossilised eggs and some coprolite.
Geology and replica pottery
Combining two sections since they're so close together, the Geology section features a diagram of the Earth's layers, a model of a volcano, a quartz, a geode and a stalagmite. In the replica pottery area, some pottery has been donated by the artist in 10243 Parisian Restaurant.
Space
For space, the museum features a display of Earth with a rocket passing by it on a familiar trajectory and a rocket model beside it – Classic Space enthusiasts are well-catered to in this set. There's also an orrery of a solar system. The build featuring plenty of pointed pieces is meant to depict an asteroid and a Classic Space base display is featured on the upper floor too. On the wall, an old telescope is displayed, likely referencing stargazing.
History

It turns out that the LEGO exhibit referencing several sets is intended to be the history section – after all, it is history for minifigures. The displayed sets are 375 Castle, 6054 Forestmens’ Hideout and a pirate ship.
