The LEGO Group has revised shipping dates for its two most popular new festive releases, putting Christmas firmly back on the menu for 2025.
A flurry of day-one orders for both 40806 Gingerbread AT-AT Walker and 40820 Up-Scaled Santa Minifigure saw both sets placed on back order for 60 days, which would have meant they’d shipped pretty much bang on Christmas Eve – or too late to really make the most of them over the holiday season. Thankfully, both sets have now had their respective shipping dates pulled forward.
Whether that’s due to the LEGO Group taking a beat to better understand the number of orders versus the number of sets available, a quirk of the LEGO.com stock system or simply the Christmas miracle Rachael was hoping for yesterday is hard to say, but the important bit is that you can now get your hands on both sets well in time for Christmas.

40806 Gingerbread AT-AT Walker will ship by October 8 in the UK, October 23 in the US and October 7 in Europe, while it’s available with immediate delivery in Australia. 40820 Up-Scaled Santa Minifigure is back-ordered until October 10 in the UK and October 7 in some European countries, but is available now in the US and Australia.
All of this should be good news for anyone who didn’t manage to get their order in before the sets immediately hit back order in most regions yesterday. 40772 Celebration Series: Luminous Ghost is still free with orders above £110 / $120 / €120, which is just north of the sum total of these two builds, so you’ll need to toss in another small set – such as 40812 Snowman Ornaments – to reach the threshold for that spooky gift-with-purchase.
You could also aim for 40809 Festive Gingerbread House, which likewise is back-ordered until October 10 in the UK (though available with immediate delivery everywhere else).
