LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past marks the non-game media debut of Cal Kestis, with rumours of future appearances.
A recent trailer for LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past showcased several deep-cut character references, but one is much more than just an Easter egg, especially when you take into account rumours from earlier this year.
One of the deep cuts not as visible in the trailer, but featured in the official poster, is none other than Cal Kestis from the Star Wars Jedi game series. The minifigure uses the same design as that of
The Star Wars website has officially confirmed that Cal Kestis in LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past will be voiced by Cameron Monaghan, who both voices him and is the inspiration for his model in the game series.
This will mark the non-game (or comics related directly to the game series) debut of Cal Kestis after hopes from fans to see the popular gaming character outside of gaming, though a rumour posits that it won't be his only adventure outside of the games
A 2024 rumour from industry insider Daniel RPK stated that Cal Kestis is coming to a live-action project in the future, but nothing further has been mentioned since then. Whether this is true or not, LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past will still be the first time that Cal Kestis appeared in an official streaming project.
