A LEGO Monkie Kid set makes a rare appearance in the shape of the 2,364-piece 80049 Dragon of the East Palace. The temple itself has multiple rooms and can open up, plus it includes a lot of exclusive minifigures and rare parts.
9 – 10320 Eldorado Fortress

A remake of the classic 6276 Eldorado Fortress, the updated LEGO Icons model is a welcome blast from the past. Roughly five times the size of the original, the 2,509-piece build comes with working cannons, eight minifigures and a pirate galleon with printed fabric sails.
8 – 10323 PAC-MAN Arcade

Taking builders all the way back to the golden age of video games is 10323 PAC-MAN Arcade, a 2,651-piece build created in collaboration with Bandai Namco. The set includes a working maze, brick-built characters and a mini arcade section hidden within.
7 – 42146 Liebherr Crawler Crane LR 13000

Theme: Technic Price: £579.99 / $699.99 / €679.99 Pieces: 2,883 Released: August 1, 2023
Surprisingly, the only Technic set to make it on to this list, 42146 Liebherr Crawler Crane LR 13000 is still a beast of a build. Coming in at 2,883 pieces, the huge construction vehicle stands over 100cm tall and is among the largest Technic models ever.
6 – 10312 Jazz Club

The ever-expanding Modular Buildings Collection grew once again earlier this year, thanks to the arrival of 10312 Jazz Club. The set includes 2,899 pieces, the music venue itself, a pizzeria, a greenhouse on the roof, eight minifigures and more.
5 – 76262 Captain America’s Shield

A near life-size version of the Avenger’s iconic shield, this mighty LEGO Marvel set clocks in at a 3,128 pieces.
4 – 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box

One of only a few LEGO DC sets released in 2023 so far, 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box offers a unique take on the Dark Knight’s lair. The large model opens up to reveal a detailed interior, with the mostly-black build coming in at 3,981 pieces.
3 – 43222 Disney Castle

A reimagining of 2016’s 71040 The Disney Castle, the latest magical model materialised last month as an 80cm tall build. 43222 Disney Castle is part of this year’s Disney 100 celebrations and an impressive addition to the theme in its own right.
2 – 71799 NINJAGO City Markets

Theme: NINJAGO Price: £319.99 / $369.99 / €369.99 Pieces: 6,163 Released: June 1, 2023
The equivalent width of two classic modular buildings, 71799 NINJAGO City Markets clocks in at a whopping 6,163-pieces, making it one of the largest NINJAGO sets to date. Set across four floors and measuring 46cm tall, the model also comes with 21 minifigures.
1 – 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell

Stealing the top spot by just four pieces is 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell, a colossal 72cm wide, 39cm tall and 50cm deep model of the iconic movie locale. With 15 minifigures and a 6,167 piece count, the massive set also manages to make it into the top 10 biggest LEGO sets of all time.
