Inspired by a real-life vehicle of the same name, 42143 Ferrari Daytona SP3 is a sleek LEGO Technic model with plenty of attractive features. It typically carries an RRP of £389.99, but Argos are currently selling it for £262.50 – and using the code LEGO10 at checkout brings the price down to £236.25 instead. That’s an unprecedented saving of 39% on the original price.

First unveiled in September 2021, the Ferrari Daytona SP3 is a limited production sports car. Just 599 models were produced in real life, each of which boasted a price tag of $2.25 million. When it’s on the road the car can go from 0–60mph in under 3 seconds, and reach a top speed of 211mph.
If all that sounds appealing (but you don’t have $2.25 million lying around) the LEGO Technic version of the car might be what you’re after. Measuring 50cm long and 25cm wide, the model features a number of realistic technical features. These include a V12 engine with working pistons, an eight-speed sequential gearbox and working steering and suspension. The doors and bonnet of the car can also be opened to get a better peek at the interior.
The car features the classic red colour scheme of Ferrari vehicles, and also features official Ferrari branding on its wheels and bonnet. A number of new elements were created for this set, to better capture its sleek appearance – and by all accounts that choice was a successful one.
