It's America's turn for a free LEGO Star Wars lightsaber

LEGO Stores in the US will be hosting free events where you can build your own tiny LEGO Star Wars lightsaber and take it home with you.

Following in the footsteps of a free LEGO Star Wars Make & Take event in the UK, LEGO Stores in the US are following suit on Sunday, March 8. Between midday and 2pm, visitors to physical LEGO Stores over the age of 10 will be able to build the tiny brick-built lightsaber pictured above and take it home with them.

The event is taking place in selected official LEGO Stores across the US, although the LEGO Store at Garden State in Paramus, New Jersey and the LEGO Store at University Place in Orem, Utah will have their events on Saturday, March 7, also between midday and 2pm. You can find a participating store near you here.

The LEGO Star Wars Lightsaber™ model will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so it's recommended to get there early on in the session to avoid disappointment. There's no need to book in advance, and there's a limit of one build per person.
