Thousands of LEGO pieces are retiring from Pick a Brick in the next few months, so here are 10 (or so) worth snapping up while they’re still available.
As confirmed yesterday, thousands of LEGO elements are leaving Pick a Brick by the end of 2025, including a huge variety of minifigure parts, animals, accessories, bricks, plates, slopes and more. While some of these will probably return in some fashion one day or are otherwise already available in alternate colourways, there are plenty of elements that we’re not likely to see back any time soon.
It’s those that we’ve focused on for this initial list of cherry-picked Pick a Brick pieces leaving the service in 2025. If you’re planning on placing an order sometime soon – say, when hundreds of new elements drop in the next couple of days – it’s worth considering stocking up on some of these before they’re gone for good. 10 and 9 – Lion Knight and Black Falcon torsos
We’ve bundled these two together because they pretty much go hand-in-hand: if you’re keen to continue army-building one or both of these classic LEGO Castle factions, now is the time to do so, because both the Lion Knights and Black Falcons will be leaving Pick a Brick as

8 – Tiger

There are currently around 50 LEGO animals departing Pick a Brick this year, and while there are more highlights than we can include in this list – grey squirrels, sea turtles and lambs are just a few that haven’t made the cut – one that should absolutely be on your radar is the tiger. This is the best LEGO tiger ever committed to ABS, cast in the relatively new reddish-orange hue, and with pretty much perfect printing.
7 – Banana peel

When the banana peel element first debuted in 2024, it seemed ripe for LEGO Mario Kart potential – but instead the Super Mario theme introduced a slightly different piece for its racing sets, so this original piece is now on the way out in 2025. It’s a fun one to drop around LEGO City layouts (especially when combined with the pigeons that are dropping this week), so one not to overlook in your next order.
6 – Red panda

One of the best LEGO animals in recent years is this tiny, cute red panda, which debuted in last summer’s DREAMZzz and City sets. It wasn’t restricted to expensive sets (60424 Jungle Explorer ATV retails for just £8.99 / $10.99 / €9.99) but if you want to sidestep those and just add this animal to your LEGO menagerie directly, Pick a Brick is the way to do it… while you still can.
5 – Balloon animal

While the trans-dark blue balloon animal is seemingly sticking around into 2026, this trans-bright green version – which is otherwise exclusive to a single LEGO Friends set – is on the way out in 2025. If Marie Kondo was looking at your LEGO collection and asking which pieces spark joy, this one would defo be up there. Can’t say fairer than that for 76p.
4 and 3 – Bicycle frames
Some LEGO fans collect Clone Troopers. Others collect Classic Space astronauts. But some of us just like the thought of owning a LEGO bicycle in every single colour possible – and if that’s you, time is short to grab the medium azure and bright orange variants from Pick a Brick…
2 – Seagull

The humble seagull originally debuted in 2013, and in recent years has found new homes in plenty of BrickLink Designer Program sets – but as 21335 Motorised Lighthouse (its last appearance in a regular retail set) is retiring in 2025, this bird is about to go the way of the dodo as far as Pick a Brick is concerned. And you can never have enough seagulls…
1 – Various Castle shields

Because all LEGO Pick a Brick orders inevitably circle back to Castle factions, it’s worth remembering that it’s not just torsos leaving in 2025: it’s also the wide variety of shields currently available to order. Those include not just the Lion Knights and Black Falcons, but also the other various prints included in
The LEGO Group hasn’t set a hard and fast date by which these pieces will be retiring from Pick a Brick, but it’s best to assume they won’t be around long – some of those in the full list have already disappeared in some regions (the Magenta Knights’ shield is no longer showing up in the UK, for example).
